Dublin has a system for car parking spaces. For the convenience, the city is divided into five tariff zones for the car parking spaces. This means that each zone in the city has different tariff for car parking services. You can simply find out the tariff on the Pay and Display machines in each zone in the city. There are actually a number of terms and conditions in the car parking system in Dublin. If you happen to park your car in Pay and Display spots, you only have 3 hours for the maximum parking time in the Pay and Display spot.
 
The payment times in each zone may vary, too. For this reason, you have to check Pay and Display machines in the desired spot. It is also recommended for you to check the street signage. Usually, in order to enhance the convenience, the Pay and Display car parking spaces operate from 7 am to 7 pm from Monday to Saturday. However, Pay and Display spots in the city center operate from 2 pm to 6 pm on Sunday. Additionally, after 8 pm you may pay for up to 3 hours parking for the following morning in that Pay and Display spot.

There is also a zone named orange zone which has the tariff of €1per hour. This zone includes certain suburban areas such as Crumlin, Rathgar, Clontarf, and Kilmainham. The last zone in Dublin is called the blue zone which has car parking tariff 0.60 c per hour. This zone includes some suburban villages such as Sandymount and Irishtown.
